Full-time Baker Position:
Bubba Rose Biscuit Co. is the premier dog bakery in the country, supplying a full line of gluten-free basic biscuits, decorated cookies, cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, cake bites, etc... to over 1,200 locations worldwide. This is a high-volume production facility (which means speed matters). We create high end products, probably not what you'd expect for dog treats. You can view our products on our site: www.bubbarose.com and the custom cake work on our FB and Instagram pages @itsbubbarose.
We are looking for a baker to join our kitchen crew. Key responsibilities include baking from scratch all our gluten-free recipes, including biscuits, cookies, cakes, cupcakes, cake bites/pops, brownies, etc... This is not a decorating position, but a full-time baking position.
Job duties include:
- Scratch baking using company recipes
- Keeping kitchen areas clean, organized and stocked
- Completing daily baking lists and multi-tasking to handle priority needs
- Receiving and unpacking kitchen deliveries
- Executing daily tasks with consistent precision and in a timely fashion
- Maintaining inventory and stock levels
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Some prior kitchen experience and/or culinary training is required. A passion for baking and a love of dogs is a must! Positive attitude, motivation, willingness to learn and follow recipes and instruction and a strong work method are necessary. This is a fast paced environment, so only those that enjoy that should apply. This is a young work place, there's always music playing, no chef whites required here. This is a great opportunity to work with young entrepreneurs and staff in a rapidly growing business while learning and gaining a range of skills and equipment experience. We're seeking someone looking for a career, not just a temporary position. Please apply accordingly.
Starting pay $11-$12/hr (will go up in time based on skills). Health benefits available.
Full-time: Mon. - Fri. 10am - 6pm
Please do not call or stop in. Email your resume and describe why you'd be a good fit for the position. We will reply back to any applicants we wish to set up an interview with. Also, this is a dog bakery, so tell us about your dog!

Apples are a great kick off to the fall season and a wonderful snack for your dog (we used to share our apples with Bob, he nibbled them right off the core). This recipe brings out the great flavor of apples with some cheddar and honey—a recipe no dog can resist.
1 1/2 c. organic oat flour
1 1/2 c. organic brown rice flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. applesauce (unsweetened)
1/2 c. cheddar cheese (shredded)
1 Tbsp. honey
1 egg
1/2 c. water
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients (except the water) together. Add water slowly and mix until a dough forms (if too dry, add more water, too wet, add a bit more flour). You may not need all the water if you reach a good consistency first. Roll out on a lightly floured surface to 1/4" thickness. Use a cookie cutter (a knife or pizza cutter work great too) to cut into shapes. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper (for easy cleanup), and place the cookies on the sheet (they can be rather close together as they don't grow while cooking).
Bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Transfer and let cool completely on a wire rack. Store the cookies in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
